How much do your murals cost?
Ceramic tile
murals are priced at $150.00 per square foot. Tumbled marble tile
murals are priced at $165.00 per square foot. Shipping, handling and
insurance are extra. Determine the size ceramic
tile mural you would like. Multiply the length in feet by the height
in feet, then multiply the answer by 150 for ceramic tile or 165 for
marble. You may also use the charts on the Tile Mural
Pricing page.
Shipping, handling and insurance by
standard domestic UPS ground delivery will be an additional
charge The charge for overnight delivery is
approximately $20 per square foot (subject to change). Cost on
shipping of International orders will vary based on
destination.
Can
I use these tiles outdoors?
Once the
murals is finished and fired there is no difference in
durability between these ceramic tiles and tiles you would have
bought at the tile store, Home Depot, etc. If you live in an
area where it gets below freezing, I will need to know so I can
glaze the mural front and back. However Murals pained on
tumbled marble should be used exclusively
indoors.
Can
I order the murals shown on your website?
The photos on my
website are examples of past projects. All my murals are custom made
for you, to your specifications. If you see a mural you like I can
create a similar one, however it would not be exactly the same.
Can you make accent tiles to compliment my new
mural?
Yes, I can make
accent tiles in either 4 ¼ inch x 4 ¼ inch, 6 inch x 6 inch,
or 8 inch x 8 inch.
How
long does it take to get my murals?
Generally, it
takes about 4 weeks from the time we determine what you would like
until delivery. If you have a rush due to a construction deadline,
simply let me know and if at all possible I will try to accommodate
you.
How
do I pay for my mural?
Once
we decide on the subject, size, and colors of the murals you will
send a 50% deposit. After I have completed your mural I will e-mail
you a photo of the finished mural. After you approve the mural you
will send the balance. There are two easy ways to pay. You can use
the link to the secure PayPal website on the Tile Mural Pricing page
to send payment. You may also pay by personal or company check,
money order, or cashiers check. Although checks will have to
clear prior to work beginning.
Can
you make a sketch of the mural?
I do not normally
do sketches. However, I will work with you on your
idea until we come up with an idea that you are completely
happy with. In the event that you feel you must have a sketch there
will be a $75 charge that is payable in advance. Please
understand that a sketch is simply to show layout and placement of
elements.
Do I
need to supply the tiles?
No,
I paint all my murals on special tiles called bisque and if you
provide the name of the tumbled marble I can pick them up at
Home Depot or a tile & marble store. The cost of the tiles are included in
the price.
What size tiles do you use?
I use an
unfinished ceramic bisque tile. They are available in 4 ¼ inch x 4 ¼
inch, 6 inch x 6 inch, or 8 inch x 8 inch. I can also special
order 12 inch x 12 inch tiles.
What size mural can I get?
All murals are
custom made to your specifications. I can make the murals any size
you need, however there is a one square foot minimum. I suggest that
you do not cut tiles. Use the mural size that fits
the best without cutting any tiles. This way all of the edges of the
tiles will be the same.
Is
there a minimum size I can order?
Yes. The minimum
size is 1ft. x 1ft.
How
much is the shipping handling and insurance
charge?
Shipping, handling, and insurance is
extra and will be dependent on the size, weight, and
distance. On average the cost is between $30 - $60. We
generally ship by standard domestic UPS ground
delivery. The charge for overnight delivery,
handling, and insurance is approximately $35 per square
foot (subject to change should carrier increase rates). Cost
on shipping of International orders will vary based on
destination.
How do I care for my
ceramic tile mural?
Glazed tile products should be cleaned
routinely with an all-purpose, non oil-based household cleaner. The
product should also be grout joint cleaning compatible. The type of
product may vary depending on the tile application and use. A
multipurpose spray cleaner, which removes soap scum, hard water
deposits, and mildew designed for every day use, can be used on wall
tile areas in residential baths and showers.
Is caring for my tumbled
marble mural any different than ceramic tile?
Caring for your tumbled marble tile
mural is much the same as ceramic tile. However, because the colors
are baked on rather than fired into the tiles, you should use a
plastic "scrubby" in conjunction with a mild cleaner you
choose.
Will the tumbled marble
in my mural match the rest of my marble?
Yes, I will be purchasing the exact
same marble you are using for the rest of your project.
How do I attach my house
plaque or house sign?
Most of the time your
house plaque or house sign can be attached by using a mastic that
can be found at any Home Depot, Lowes or most tile and marble
distributors. In other cases a custom mount cam be made for a small
extra charge.
